Breakfast ~ a bowl of oatmeal for breakfast can be replaced with quinoa.
Lunch or dinner ~ seasoned quinoa on the sweet or savory side and eaten with fresh fruit or a T-Bone.
How do you prepare quinoa?
2:1 ratio of water and quinoa:
- Boil the quinoa uncovered on a stovetop, stirring occasionally.
- Cook for about 15 minutes, or until the grain becomes translucent and a white spiral appears around the grain.
- Add a dash of salt and/or a bit of butter before serving.
- Other great additions include: chopped onion, cinnamon, or GF soy sauce.
